Utilitarianism:

Utilitarianism was founded by Jeremy Bentham & John Stuart Mill. Overall, the point of Utilitarianism is to put an emphasis on ones literal actions and their consequences, contrary to their intentions. A Utilitarian would say that an action is categorized by only its literal outcome, with ZERO regard to its intended purpose. In focusing on purely the consequences of our actions, Utilitarianism embodies the Principle of Utility which says that we should act in ways that lead to spreading the most good for the most amount of people.
